MB Quart® HiddenReflections™ Television Mirror Wins International CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Award For a Second Year

Chicago, IL November, 2009 – MB Quart®, known as one of the most respected manufacturers of consumer electronics, was awarded the International CES® Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Award for a second time.

MB Quart was informed of the prestigious CES award for their recently launched 36” x 36” sized HiddenReflections™ Television Mirror – HB Series HB-LCD22-600. Touted as a vision of elegance and technology, the complete HiddenReflections line-up consists of four conveniently-sized finely-crafted mirrors with built-in and hidden 22” LCD HDTV’s.

The MB Quart HiddenReflections HB Series is ideal for non-custom applications such as bathrooms, foyers, entranceways or any desired viewing space. When the LCD is turned off, it shows only a mirror reflection. When the LCD is activated, it transforms into a window to the world.

“The HiddenReflections HB Series was developed with the consumer in mind. We wanted to develop an upgrade model from our 17” screen,” said Brian Walter, MB Quart Director of Sales. “we sat down to enhance key features and came out with the best of the best,” Walter added.

MB Quart uses one-way glass and high-reflective, high-contrast multilayer substrate for a natural reflection of color and skin tones – an improvement in the properties found in traditional mirrors. “This distortion free technology combined with a MB Quart digital LCD yields the brightest TV and Mirror combo available today,” continued Walter.

After last years award where MB Quart revolutionized the consumer electronics industry with the development of 17” LCD HDTV at a depth of only 1 inch, created a true plug and play product enabling the most attractive and cost-effective method of surface mount installations. “Again listening to the customer’s wants, we upgraded all our unique features: doubled the brightness, 1080p, tripled the pre-amp’d speaker outs, 22” LCD and still only 1 inch” depth!,” noted Walter.

Sound is an essential part of the experience and at the heart of MB Quart. HiddenReflections HB Series TV Mirrors use the same high quality technology found in MB Quart speakers. The speakers are discreetly incorporated into the HDTV for optimum sound reproduction.

“We’ve thought of everything so the consumer doesn’t have to, we are fortunate to have a team of engineers with vast LCD TV development experience,” added Walter. Since most installations are in the bathroom, all HiddenReflections TV Mirrors include handheld waterproof remote controls. The HDTV features all standard A/V inputs and outputs and all mounting hardware is included.
